I was dismayed to hear that your current tour is being sponsored by the manufacturers of LUNCHABLES. The reason? Simply google it.
It's surely ignorance on your part rather than hypocrisy that allows you to show concern for the mental well being of your fans (bullying), and at the same time indifference to their physical health.
Overweight has become a problem of epic proportions in your country. YOUR life expectancy is dropping below that of many European countries, in spite of the huge $ resources spent on the healthcare of (rich) Americans.
May I respectfully suggest that you follow your imo brilliantly conceived anti-bullying campaign with one directed towards this issue.

U.K.is 5yrs ahead of the USA on this issue, which is facing an epidemic of Type 2 diabetes, atherosclerosis and other "diseases of affluence". Lack of exercise is a contributing factor, due to TV, computer games, the internet and parents understandable reluctance to let their kids run around freely outside. But FOOD is the BIG ISSUE. Yeah, Lunchables are made up of things that should be healthy, but they put so much salt and other things into them to keep them fresh and to taste really good to appeal to kids, that they are pretty terrible for you.
I am not sure that I am as bothered by it as duckbiter is, but he is right.
Sounds like they have different sponsors throughout the tour b/c early on they kept talking about 1-800-FLOWERS

Interesting, I haven't eaten a lunchable in years so I'm not too up to date on the issue. Personally I think its not right to target company who provide this foods, such as mcdonalds for instance. If its bad, don't buy it. Blame yourself, not them.
However I would like this thread to not get too in depth from here as it will eventually end up in a political debate which would violate the GCF ToS.

Yeah, I have certainly had them in my life, but I never really got the appeal. I was such a weird kid though, I also hated McDonald's except for the toys. Now, Chick-fil-A on the other hand is practically heaven on Earth.

If he where to eat say, 6 a week which is probably more then he would, and be as active as he is, I can not see any negative effects. Now if you eat like, 3 a day every day there is a problem of course. But hey, eating a chocolate bar is bad for you too

Now, Chick-fil-A on the other hand is practically heaven on Earth. I like the "Hot Browns" from Chick-fil-A Dwarf House. Also, Have you tried the "new" Kentucky Grilled Chicken? Very Good!

If he where to eat say, 6 a week which is probably more then he would, and be as active as he is, I can not see any negative effects. Now if you eat like, 3 a day every day there is a problem of course. But hey, eating a chocolate bar is bad for you too But unhealthy food DOES KILL YOU. It kills you in your 50's and 60's. It causes plaque to build up in the coronary arteries. However thin Greyson may appear, this is happening to him RIGHT NOW. Every serving of fatty nutrient-deficient convenience food replaces the possibility of eating fruit, vegetables and whole grain sugarless cereal (bread rice pasta) which protect against plaque build up. It's easy for non-scientists to dismiss this flippantly (j'accuse GU4G here), but look at the health of the older people you know. Look at movies and documentaries of the 50's and 60's and count the fatties. To an outsider present day Americans look grotesquely fat. Most noticeable in southern parts where fewer clothes are worn. Recent research has found that teenage brains are completely undeveloped in the frontal cortex, which deals with FORESEEING the consequences of actions. It matures only in the 20's. They are thus UNABLE to address things which have delayed consequences, eg healthy food, sex & pregnancy, financial debt. They NEED parental guidance but they can't understand why. The real problem for Greyson is that he LOVES greasy fattening foods and snacks (he mentioned that in an interview about local food in Oklahoma) those and sweets will make him tired and prone to gain weight (although genetics might bless him with a high metabolism) It's never too late to change but if you are addicted to "junk" food it can be very very difficult. Bottom line, it's up to Greyson's parents to monitor what he eats and make sure that he is getting a balanced diet (gee I sound like a mean adult here lol) and at least take some vitamins to help that will help him handle stress. Also, getting at least 8 hours of sleep at his age is crucial to his health and well being. I am no doctor but I do watch Dr Oz LOL

I always think about it when I go that way, but have never stopped. Is it really different from a normal Chick-fil-A? I haven't tried the new grilled chicken yet. I read somewhere that it is terrible for you as well, but I think that had to do with salt. I am not a junk food addict per se, more like a sweets addict. I love dessert, anything chocolate, whatever. However, my biggest downfall is probably salt. I put salt on everything that could conceivably need salt. I know it is terrible for me, but I still do it.

I admire DB's zeal for healthy eating, and the comments by others are well taken (Here comes the ..."but").
But, I want to point out that parents can only encourage their children to eat healthy up to a point without causing rebellion. And I don't see any evidence that Greyson's parents don't feed him healthy meals. Plus they obviously encouraged excercise by putting him in youth soccer.
Looking at Greyson's family, they all appear to be healthy and trim.
I had the good fortune to meet Lisa when Greyson was in Atlanta and she appears to be very fit. Quite stunning, actually. T.V. does not do her justice.
Scott, Tanner, and Alexa also appear to be quite healthy. And I don't see any fat on Greyson either, so I think we can put this topic to rest for now.
